How to make a Wheel Cake

Guys and Dolls, here is a another "How to" blogpost for you to try out yourself in making a Wheel Cake. 

First of all, you will need the following ingredients and equipment before you get started. 

8 Eggs                                              Equipment
2 Oz Self Raising Flour                     2 Large Bowls               Electric Whisk
3 Oz Caster Sugar                           Wooden Spoon              Measuring Jug
1/2 Tsp of Cream of Tartar                Teaspoon                       Spatula
2-3 Tbsp of Oil                                 Tablespoon                    2 Cake Tins
                                                         Baking Paper                Pastry Cutter
                                                          Scissors
Flavouring  eg  2-4 Tbsp of Orange Juice 

                      Dessicated Coconut 3/4   

                     1 tsp of Pandan Extract 

 Lets Get Started ^.^ 

1) Separate the egg whites and egg yolks into 2 separate bowls 

2) Add Cream of Tartar to the bowl containing the egg whites 

3) In the bowl containing the egg yolks, add sugar and flavouring into it, Stir

Stir to this consistency

4) Sieve in flour ( i cheated i didnt use a a sieve i just poured my flour in gradually) hehe

5) Add oil

6) Whisk Egg Whites til it is stiff and form peaks

 
7) Pour egg york mixture into  egg whites and fold both mixture together 

 

8) DIY WHEEL CAKE TIN XD 

Get 2 cake tins and some baking paper, trace the cake tins, cut it out so you can line the tin with

9) Cut 4 strips of baking paper about 6-7cm wide

10) Line the edges of the cake tins 

 

11) get a small pastry cutter and line that with some baking paper  

12) Place in centre of cake tin 

13) Pour mixture into tin

14) Turn oven to Gas Mark 4 and bake for 40 mins until golden brown 


15) Finished Product 

Geordie Shore

It is the end of season 1 of Geordie Shore and what did you guys think of the Geordie Shore lot? better than Jersey Shore ? Well, my opinion i thought the Jersey Shore lot were mad but OH MY the Geordies take it to another level ! its unreal !

I was born and bred in Newcastle and honestly the carry on throughout this series is total madness, half of the words that they use to describe certain actions, i have not heard of before in my entire life, did they just create these terms to make it more catchy??? i do not know!
What has been your highlight of season one ???

Transformers: Dark of the Moon (2011)

I can not wait til this is released next wednesday, it is going to be epic! Last transformers that I watched with my friend, I was literally dragged to accompany him in watching it at 10pm at night, crazy! But it was worth it though!
I wonder what the victoria's secret model, rosie huntington-whiteley is going to be like, is she a looker or can she actually act???

We shall find out on wednesday 29th june 2011 !!!!

This is a MUST-HAVE item to own as it is THE best eyelash curler ever!!! i am not just saying it but honestly, i have the shortest eye lashes ever and i was sooo surprised at how effective the curler were, no wonder the make-up gurus swear by this item =)

Instant Nail Effect

Everytime i head into town, i always pop into Boots or Superdrugs to see what new offers they have in store or new products that catches my eye.
Lots and Lots of highstreet make-up brands are bringing out their own "instant nail effects" to their nail varnish line and i have been meaning to try it so i went and bought myself  the Instant Nail Effect Nail Paint by Barry M in "Black Magic" priced at £3.99.

Results  

I applied Nails Inc in Brompton Place (170) on my nails, then let it dry for a few minutes.  Then I applied a SINGLE COAT of Instant nail effects on top but make sure you dont overlap as it will not create the cracked effect on your nails. 

Just to take note that light base coat colours may not be as nice as darker tone nail colours as i have tested that out using the Barry M Nail Paint in Strawberry I/C (309) 

I was truly amazed at how it created the cracked effect on my nails as when i coated my nails with the polish, it was as if i was painting my nails in black but soon it started to dry and it created a really nice cracked effect.  Check it out below :)
