Circle Lens

Circle Lenses are the latest craze at the moment with Korea and Japan setting the trend.  Circle lenses were originated from Korea.

So what are Circle Lens anyways?

Circle lenses are cosmetic contact lenses that have a black ring meant to enlarge the appearance of the iris. Originally from Korea, these lenses were made popular by ulzzangs ("best-face" celebrities) and pop stars. IE, Kim Namji is very famous for wearing circle lenses, as are most Chinese/Taiwanese "Pretty Girls" (Mei Nur). They give the appearance of clear, doll-like eyes and are available primarily to the Asian market.

Brands that sell circle lenses include Bescon (Tutti, Hypa, Freeteen), G&G (BT01, BT02, BT03, AIMEI/AMIE, I.Fax), Dueba (Barbie, Messish), Migwang (Aryan, Aines), Icon, Newvision/Neovision, New Bio, Acuvue (Acuvue Define), and FreshKon (FreshKon Alluring Eyes).

I have recently purchased 2 more pairs of circle lens online at www.pinkcon.com and im loving them, one grey and one brown :D They are non-perscription ones and they sure do give me dolly eyes....check out my eyes :)

Lashes!

As you can see from my picture below that i have very few eye lashes, very short and straight indeed like most asians so i thought i try out the Maybelline Falsies Mascara to see if it actually gives you the fake eye lashes effect. After given it a try, i think it is a good mascara overall but it personally did not give me the fake eye lashes effect, although it has given me more volume to my lashes and its clump-free like it says on the package =)

Buttercream Galore

Yesterday, I spent all morning baking a birthday cake for my good friend vincent :D it was his birthday yesterday so Happy Birthday Vincent!

In the past, i would usually make a Victoria Sponge cake topped with whipped cream and fresh fruits but yesterday i decided to try out buttercream frosting to ice my cake for the very first time.

Here are a few pictures of what the finished product looked like from start to finish, hope you guys like it :)

A special thanks to my friend kerry, for helping me decorate the cake <3 <3 x

Half of the mixture separated into 2 cake tins
After spreading green buttercream frosting all over the cake, i have outlined the cake with blue buttercream using a star icing nozzle for a star/shell-like effect
cupcakes to form the 'Head', 'legs and 'tail'' for the 'Tortoise
i ran out of icing sugar so i substituted with Edible Wafer paper and used ready-made Designer Icing in Pink to write the birthday message on
The finished product :D Yay!!!
My first attempt at making a figurine with sugarpaste
