Pretty Little Things by Xtine - Part 3 - Ribbon Heart Chandelier

Ribbon Heart Chandelier

Over the last few weeks, I have been trying to find  ways of using up the ribbon that i had so i was searching on Youtube and blogs to try and make good use of them but instead i saw something that was rather appealing to me and i did not end up using the ribbon that i already had but instead make use of some curling ribbon that had been lying at the bottom of my drawer.

Here is my version of a ribbon heart chandelier, hope u guys like it ^^

This is my first attempt at making this so there are some areas i would change if i made another one for instance, i would not use wool as the string to hold the ribbon balls and paper/straw stars as the wool frayed when i used the hot glue gun.  For the structure of the chandelier, you can't see it but its actually a rice krispies box which i used to create the oval shape and i basically covered that with coloured paper and used shiny curling ribbon to create the stripes =)

Recycle what you have and put them in good use ^^

Pretty Little Things by Xtine - Part 2

Over the last few months i have been cutting, sewing and glueing away and creating a few cushions with my designs on them.
What triggered this next phase in making things was initially through a friend who asked me to make something for him to give to someone so i was just thinking and thinking about what i could make to make it personal but girly at the same time so i came up with this.....

Cushion  #1

After this cushion, i decided to make a few more just for fun. Here are some pictures of the cushions.

Urbay Decay - Naked Palette

Let's get Naked.....with

URBAN DECAY - Naked Palette

This infamous palette has been raved alot by all the makeup gurus on Youtube and is been used by many make-up artists for special occassions.  I could not resist so i went out and bought myself the palette to see what the craze is all about.

In my previous blogpost, i blogged about the Sleek Palette from the Nude Collection and the colours from that palette to the Naked Palette are very different indeed.

The Urban Decay Naked Palette has 12 magnificent shades that are wearable whether you are going for a more neutral look, sultry look or even the smokey eye look =) The Urban Decay Naked Palette contains all this in the one palette ^^
The 12 different shades has a combination of matte, shimmery, frost and satin shades to accommodate whatever look you want to achieve.
The eyeshadows are super pigmented so you do not need lots of product on your eye shadow brush when applying, just a gentle swipe will suffice and they are sooo easy to blend with.
Also, included in the UD NAKED PALETTE is a small tube of Eyeshadow Primer Portion and a Shadow Karma Brush.

Shown below are the swatches for the 12 different shades =)

Segway Experience

SEGWAY

What is Segway?
Segway is a nifty looking machine that is a self-balancing motorised device with 2 wheels. To manoeuvre this device, you need to stand firmly on the middle of the platform of the device, holding the handle bars and lean forward to go forwards.  To reverse, you do the opposite, you lean backwards.  The further you lean forwards/backwards, it will determine the speed that the device goes.
To turn, you slide the handlebar left or right.

Today, i went on my segway experience at Newcastle Racecourse with Absolute Segway with 2 of my friends doing the Segway Safari for an hour.
I enjoyed every moment of this experience as it is something that i have not experienced before and i like trying everything once =)

When we arrived at the venue, we got suited up with the correct body armour for the Segway Safari and the instructor went through all the procedures in how to use the Segway machine, to make sure that we could control the device safely by giving us one-to-one lesson on the different functions of the device.  Once we did this, we practiced on a small track for a little while before we got led by the instructor to the open parklands.

Here are a few pictures from today's activity =)

Galaxy, Macau

I recently went on holiday to Hong Kong for 2 weeks with my family along with a few of our close friends and family. During the 2 weeks, we went on an overnight trip to Macau to stay at the newly-built casino/hotel, Galaxy that has been built adjacent to The Venetian.

When we arrived at the Galaxy, i was in complete awe when i saw the actual infrastructure of this building, it looked soooo grand and sooo different from all the other casinos that i have seen in Macau itself, definitely one of a kind.

Here are a few pictures that might take your breath away.

Magnificent Lobby Display

Another lobby display on the other side entrance to the Galaxy
There are 2 hotels within the Galaxy, I stayed at in the Hotel Okura. Below are pictures of the hotel room that i stayed in.

Here are some pictures taken from the poolside.

This is a man-made beach with waves

Painting of the Galaxy in all its glory =)
